Everything you need to know about earning as a goalie
- Create an account: Click "Register as Goalie" on the homepage
- Complete your profile: Add your experience, skill level, game preferences, and postal code
- Verify your age: Confirm you're 19+ years old (required)
- Wait for opportunities: We'll email you when bookings match your preferences
- Apply for jobs: Review available bookings and apply for ones you want
You must be 19+ years old to work as a goalie on our platform
Step 1: Get Notified
Receive email alerts for bookings that match your location and game type preferences
Step 2: Accept the Job
View job details on your dashboard and accept bookings you're available for
Step 3: Get Automatically Assigned
First goalie to accept gets the job - be quick to secure bookings!
Step 4: Coordinate
Use the private chat to coordinate details with the renter
Step 5: Play the Game
Show up on time with proper equipment and play your best
Step 6: Get Paid
After the renter confirms completion, receive automatic payment via bank transfer (EFT) within 1-2 business days
Payment Structure:
- First hour: $40 CAD (platform retains $20 service fee)
- Each additional 0.5 hour: +$20 CAD (100% goes to you!)
Earnings Examples:

The longer the game, the more you earn! Extended games give you 100% of the additional fees
Automatic Bank Transfer via Stripe:
- Direct Deposit: Payments automatically transferred to your bank account via EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer)
- One-Time Setup: Complete your payment setup on your dashboard to provide banking information securely through Stripe
- Fast Deposits: Funds arrive in your bank account within 1-2 business days
- After Confirmation: Payment automatically released once renter confirms game completion
- Secure & Private: Your banking information is handled by Stripe - we never see or store your sensitive financial details
Security: All banking information is securely managed by Stripe, a trusted payment processor used by millions of businesses worldwide
Important: You must complete the payment setup on your dashboard before you can receive payouts. This is a one-time process that takes about 2 minutes.
When completing your Stripe payment setup, use these answers:

What else will Stripe ask for?
- Your Social Insurance Number (SIN) for tax reporting
- Your bank account details for direct deposit
- Your home address and date of birth for identity verification
- Your phone number for account security
Privacy & Security: All this information is securely collected and stored by Stripe, not by us. Stripe is required by law to verify your identity and collect tax information for anyone earning income through their platform.
Private, Secure Messaging:
- In-Platform Chat: Message renters directly through the booking page
- Email Notifications: Get instant alerts when renters send you messages
- Privacy Protection: Your phone number and email stay private
- Game Coordination: Discuss arrival time, equipment, parking, and other details
Only you and the renter can see your conversation
Two Ways to Find Jobs:
1. Automatic Notifications
- Receive email alerts when bookings match your preferences
- Based on your location (postal code)
- Filtered by your game type preferences (Ice/Ball, League/Pick-up, 5v5/3v3)
2. Dashboard Search
- Check "Available Jobs" section on your dashboard
- See all nearby bookings that match your profile
- Accept directly with one click
Be quick! The first goalie to accept gets the job. Keep notifications on to respond fast!
That's frustrating! There's a few things you can do:
Check Your Email Filters:
- Check Spam/Junk Folders: Emails may be redirected to these folders
- Add to Contacts: Add "noreply@goalieinyourpocket.com" to your contacts to ensure emails aren't blocked
- Check Promotions Tab: Gmail users - check your Promotions or Updates tab
Verify Your Profile:
- Email Address: Make sure your email is correct in your profile
- Postal Code: Confirm it's accurate - jobs are matched to your location
- Game Preferences: Ensure you've selected game types you want to play

Required Information:
- Name: Your real name for identification
- Postal Code: Used to find jobs in your area
- Email: For notifications and payment
- Age Verification: Must be 19+ (checkbox confirmation)
Profile Details:
- Experience Level: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, or Elite
- Game Type Preferences: Ice Hockey, Ball Hockey, League Games, Pick-up, 5v5, 3v3
- Availability: Keep this updated to get relevant jobs
Accurate postal code is essential - jobs are matched based on your location!
Professional Standards:
Before the Game:
- Arrive 15-20 minutes early
- Confirm arrival time with renter via chat
- Know the arena location and parking details
Equipment:
- Bring all necessary goalie equipment
- Ensure equipment is in good condition
- Have backup items if possible (stick, gloves)
During the Game:
- Play your best and stay engaged
- Be a team player and communicate
- Stay for the entire game duration
No-shows or early departures may result in disputes and account suspension
Dispute Resolution:
- Notification: You'll receive an email if a renter reports an issue
- Payment Hold: Payment is temporarily held while we investigate
- Your Response: You'll have a chance to provide your side of the story
- Review: Our support team reviews both sides and any evidence
- Decision: Payment is either released to you or refunded to the renter
We review all disputes fairly and consider both perspectives
Avoid Disputes:
- Arrive on time
- Communicate clearly with renters
- Be professional and courteous
- Stay for the full game duration
